Home Inspector Assistant

Position Summary

A growing national company is seeking individuals to join a team of professional home inspectors to assist and to learn the home inspection industry. The ideal candidate has experience and/or knowledge of the home inspection industry and is detail-oriented, outgoing, personable, and presentable, and willing to learn our standard process to complete an accurate, thorough quality home inspection and detailed report.

Role And Responsibilities

• Have an interest in learning the basics of residential home systems and elements
• Work in various weather conditions
• Solid computer technology skills for report writing and communications
• Appreciate construction and desire to learn company procedures
• Continually develop technical knowledge in building science
• Punctuality, ability to work independently, and strong work ethic are required

Qualifications And Requirements

• Preferred degree in construction
• Willingness to take home inspector classes to be licensed within 3-6 months
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation to inspection site
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
• History of punctuality and reliability
• Owns a computer
• Physically fit for climbing ladders, walking on roofs, accessing crawl spaces and attics, and standing for long periods of time
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• May be required to enter homes that contain allergens such as pets, dust, mold, or other
• Owns a vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
