About the role

The Speech Therapist provides quality patient care based on physician orders, including assessments, treatments, care planning, and team communication. The role requires adherence to policies, confidentiality, and effective communication. The therapist serves as a resource for clinical staff and reports patient progress and needs to physicians and management.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized plans of care
• Maintain and update patient care plans
• Coordinate services with healthcare teams and families
• Manage supplies and equipment
• Educate families and caregivers on patient care

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program
• Unrestricted SLP license in the practice state
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
• At least one year of recent experience in an acute care setting
