About the role
The registered nurse provides home visits to women and their families enrolled in the Nurse Family Partnership Program. The RN will carry a caseload of up to 25 clients, utilizing nursing processes and clinical expertise to build therapeutic relationships, engage in motivational interviewing and mutual goal setting to assist high risk mothers in developing healthy plans for their families.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, quality care that is individualized for their assigned clients following the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
- Engage in motivational interviewing and mutual goal setting to assist high-risk mothers in developing healthy plans for their families.
- Utilize nursing processes and clinical expertise to build therapeutic relationships with clients.
- Accept and promote professional development as an integral part of nursing practice.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver collegial and collaborative care that reflects the philosophy of Providence In-Home Services, Nurse-Family Partnership, and the Mission and Core Values of the Sisters of Providence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited/approved school of Nursing; BSN.
- Upon hire: Alaska Registered Nurse License.
- Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of Maternal/child health, public health, home health or mental/behavioral nursing.
