About the Role
A registered nurse provides home visits to women and families enrolled in a nurse-family partnership program, managing a caseload of up to 25 clients. Utilizing nursing processes and clinical expertise, the RN builds therapeutic relationships, engages in motivational interviewing, and supports mothers in developing healthy family plans. They deliver safe, individualized care aligned with the nursing practice Act, focusing on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Professional development and collaborative care are essential components, reflecting the organization’s mission and core values.
Responsibilities
- Conduct home visits, assess client needs, and develop personalized care plans.
- Build and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and families.
- Utilize motivational interviewing and goal setting to promote healthy behaviors.
- Ensure delivery of safe, quality, and individualized nursing care.
- Collaborate with team members and promote ongoing professional growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
- Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- Within 30 days: BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in maternal/child health, public health, home health, or mental/behavioral nursing.
