Responsibilities

  • Manages all processes related to regulatory and accreditation requirements, including The Joint Commission and CMS.
  • Serves as the primary contact for The Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory partners.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to prepare presentations for various meetings.
  • Acts as an internal consultant to medical staff, administration, and departments regarding compliance opportunities.
  • Analyzes and interprets accreditation and regulatory opportunities to improve and sustain best practices.
  • Manages regulatory websites to complete applications, surveys, and follow-up activities.
  • Performs annual regulatory assessments and collaborates with stakeholders to facilitate improvements.
  • Provides orientation and ongoing education on accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and implements plans for ongoing survey readiness in collaboration with quality staff and leadership.
  • Supports clinical performance improvement initiatives and corporate clinical accountabilities.
  • Serves as a liaison to hospital departments for ongoing accreditation and regulatory support.
  • Manages and facilitates regulatory and accreditation committees and meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Required]
  • Master's [Preferred]
  • Field of Study: Education in Healthcare Services Leadership and Management in Nursing or related healthcare field
  • 2+ years in quality and accreditation and regulatory management [Required]
  • Experience in Quality; Performance/Lean Improvement; Patient Safety and Human Factor analysis [Preferred]
  • Experience in Statistical Data Analysis [Required]
  • Performance Improvement such as Team Leader, Facilitator experience, Malcolm Baldrige and/or LEAN Six Sigma [Required]

Skills

  • Computer literate and proficient in database management, Electronic Medical Record navigation [Required]
  • Excellent Communication/Motivational skills [Required]

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) [Preferred]
  • Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) [Preferred]
  • Infection Control Certification (CIC) [Preferred]
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) [Required]
  • Healthcare Accreditation Certified Professional (HACP) [Preferred]

Pay

$83,699.48 - $155,693.55

Schedule

  • Full time
  • Day shift

Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
