Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized plans of care developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Perform therapeutic interventions focusing on functional strengthening, gait training, balance, and fall risk reduction to help patients reach their mobility goals.
  • Document patient responses to treatment and communicate with the supervising PT to ensure a coordinated approach.
  • Manage your own caseload by setting your schedule and visit cadence based on the plan of care.

Requirements

  • Valid California Physical Therapy Assistant license
  • CPR or BLS certification
  • Driver's license and auto insurance
  • Physical and TB test (within the last year)
  • Professional liability and business license (if applicable)
