About the role
Full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) specializing in home health care within Jefferson County.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct physical therapy services based on physician’s plan of care, assess patient condition, and deliver treatments to improve or restore function.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, educate patients and caregivers on device usage and rehabilitation techniques, and communicate updates to supervisors and physicians.
- Plan for patient discharge, maintain detailed documentation, and ensure confidentiality of patient records.
- Participate in in-service programs and adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines.
- Conduct treatments, educate patients and families, monitor patient progress, report observations, and assist in discharge planning.
- Ensure quality care and compliance with regulations to positively impact patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited PTA program
- Current unrestricted state license
- Valid CPR certification
- Preferred experience in home health therapy and OASIS documentation
