About the role

The White Earth Reservation Business Committee is seeking a qualified Home Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide vital nursing services and health education, promoting community wellness on the White Earth Reservation.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and other healthcare professionals, including:
  • Health screenings (blood pressure checks, vital sign monitoring)
  • Assisting at Public Health Clinics (hearing and vision checks)
  • Administering immunizations
• Handle administrative tasks:
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Assist with data collection and reporting
  • Enroll community members into the WECARE program
• Engage in community outreach:
  • Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to promote health programs
  • Participate in Public Health events, campaigns, and outreach programs
  • Work with vulnerable populations, including the elderly, children, and those with chronic illnesses
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Current Minnesota LPN License
• Valid Minnesota Driver’s License and insurance for travel between sites
• Must pass a background and drug screening
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment

• Understanding of White Earth Reservation demographics, culture, history, and lifestyles
• Knowledge of and ability to follow Universal Precautions and HIPAA regulations
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work cooperatively within a group to enhance effectiveness and efficiency
• Skilled in the operation of a personal computer

$22.51 per hour.
