About the Role
As a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) at HCA Healthcare, you’ll play a vital role in delivering compassionate, personalized care to patients in the comfort of their homes. In collaboration with the Registered Nurse and care team, you’ll help manage medical needs and promote their independence — caring for patients like family, one home visit at a time.

This position covers Pinellas County, where stroke response times are nearly half the national average, and includes work with cutting-edge SPOT Technology that detects sepsis earlier than the human eye, as well as an Enhanced Surgical Recovery program that reduces opioid prescriptions and post-surgical readmissions.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the home, including wound care, medication administration, and support during procedures
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly and thoroughly to support safe, continuous care
- Monitor patient status and alert the care team of any changes to ensure timely, coordinated responses
- Educate patients and families to support medication adherence, strengthen understanding of health conditions, and promote greater independence at home
- Collaborate closely with RNs, providers, therapists, and care coordinators to deliver high-quality, personalized care in the home setting
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program
- Minimum of one year experience as an LPN/LVN in a clinical care setting
- Home care experience preferred
- Must be licensed as an LPN/LVN in good standing in the state(s) where services will be provided
- Meets all additional requirements for hire including state-specific requirements
- Current BCLS certification prior to delivering patient care
- Reliable transportation and proof of valid automobile liability insurance
- Valid driver’s license
