Hours & Shift: Part-time (.6 FTE) day shift position, Scheduled hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; rotation of weekends and holidays
Role Responsibilities
The Home Health/Hospice Aide is a Certified Nursing Assistant that works under the supervision of a nurse performing selected duties that do not involve skilled nursing or require nursing judgment. These duties include palliative, supportive, supplementary and complementary to nursing practice. The Certified Nursing Assistant will see only patients assigned by the nurse coordinating the care of the patient. Home Health/Hospice Certified Nursing Assistants may see both Home Health and Hospice patients in their homes or area health care facilities as are needed.
Qualifications
- Must have completed a Nursing Assistant Program or its certified counterpart and have a valid nursing assistant certification with the Division of Health and be on the State and Federal Registries
- Candidates must have a reliable car available during working hours or accessibility to dependable transportation
- Must have a good driving record and active Wisconsin Driver’s License. Driving in an essential function of the job and must remain insurable
- Must have a caring personality and excellent communication skills
- Prior Nursing Assistant experience in an institution or in a home care/hospice setting is preferred
- Experience with EMR's is preferred
- Previous experience with the Microsoft Office Suite software programs is beneficial
