Job Duties
- Provide compassionate, hands-on support to clients in their homes, helping them maintain independence and dignity
- Enhance social well-being by establishing trusting relationships with clients and their families, providing compassionate companionship and emotional support
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, simple wound care, and other personal care tasks as directed by a nurse or therapist
- Maintain a safe home environment by performing client-directed light housekeeping tasks, ensuring a clean and comfortable living space
- Document and communicate effectively by accurately recording client care per policy and reporting updates or concerns to the supervising nurse or therapist
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required
- Ability to follow care plans and work independently in a home setting
- Knowledge of safe lifting and transfer techniques
- Experience in home health, long-term care, or personal caregiving is preferred but not required
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and access to an insured personal vehicle for home visits
- Physical capability to perform all essential job functions, including assisting with client mobility and personal care needs
- Ability to pass state mandated background check
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure effective communication with clients, staff, and families
