About the role

A home health aide provides personal care services to clients who are unable to perform daily activities due to illness, injury, disability, or age. The role involves assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Additionally, aides may help with medication administration, light housekeeping, and meal preparation.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene and grooming tasks
• Help clients with meals and meal preparation
• Monitor and record client’s vital signs as needed
• Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Perform light housekeeping duties as directed
• Communicate with healthcare providers and family members regarding client’s condition and needs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Previous home health care experience preferred
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Physical ability to perform physical tasks required for the job
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR

Pay

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Shifts are typically part-time (20-30 hours per week) and flexible, allowing for a mix of day, evening, and overnight hours.
