Home Health Aide (HHA or CNA)
Since 2012, Giving Home Health Care has been supporting individuals impacted by health conditions related to their work in nuclear facilities for the Department of Energy. With a focus on personalized, in-home care, we serve patients across Arizona, Colorado, Kentucky, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.
About the role
We are looking for a compassionate HHA or CNA in Albuquerque, NM to administer patient care in accordance with a physician-established care plan. This is a 1099 contract opportunity, with care provided at the patient’s residence. Once patients are accepted into the program, there is no expiration for this benefit, allowing caregivers to build lasting relationships with their patients for years to come.
This role collaborates with CNAs, HHAs, Case Managers, and the patient’s physicians. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.
Schedule
- 9am to 6pm, Monday - Thursday
Responsibilities
- Work with the patient in their home to provide one-on-one service in a comfortable and familiar setting
- Assist with the patients’ activities of daily living as well as personal care
- Light housekeeping
- Meal preparation
- Monitor vitals (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc.) according to plan of care
- Remind patient to take medication as prescribed
- Maintain records and documentation of services
- Communication with the patients’ family, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health and care of the patient
Requirements
- Ability to monitor vital signs
- Dependable transportation
- Current CPR certification
