Home Health Aide (HHA or CNA)
Since 2012, Giving Home Health Care has been supporting individuals impacted by health conditions related to their work in nuclear facilities for the Department of Energy. With a focus on personalized, in-home care, we serve patients across Arizona, Colorado, Kentucky, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.
About the role
We are looking for a compassionate HHA or CNA in Los Alamos, NM to administer patient care in accordance with a physician-established care plan. This is a 1099 contract opportunity, with care provided at the patient’s residence. Once patients are accepted into the program, there is no expiration for this benefit, allowing caregivers to build lasting relationships. This role collaborates with CNAs, HHAs, Case Managers, and the patient’s physicians.
Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.
Schedule
- 24 hours per week
- Monday - Wednesday
- Preferred times: 10am - 6pm
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one service in the patient’s home
- Assist with activities of daily living and personal care
- Perform light housekeeping
- Prepare meals
- Monitor vitals (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc.) according to the plan of care
- Remind patient to take medication as prescribed
- Maintain records and documentation of services
- Communicate with the patient’s family, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding health and care
Requirements
- Ability to monitor vital signs
- Dependable transportation
- Current CPR certification
