Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

About the role

Giving Home Health Care supports individuals impacted by health conditions related to their work in nuclear facilities for the Department of Energy. We are seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Harriman, TN area to provide assistance in daily living and personal care services in patients’ homes in accordance with a physician-established care plan. This is a 1099 contract opportunity with care provided at the patient’s residence.

Responsibilities

• Execute physician-prescribed plans of care and compliant documentation of care provided in the system of record
• Administer prescribed treatments and therapies
• Perform patient assessments, coordination of care, and monitoring of vitals while working at the patient’s home
• Assist with activities of daily living, communications, and vital sign monitoring in a one-on-one setting
• Communicate with family members, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health of patients
• Perform other personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s needs

Requirements

• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• 2-Step TB test
• Prefer experience in a clinical care setting; home health experience preferred
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move patients
• Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

Schedule

• Monday through Sunday
• 12-hour shifts available: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Suitable for PRN or full-time hours
