Home Health Aide CHHA - Warren County

About the role

First in Home Care, Interim HealthCare is expanding into Mercer County and is now hiring Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aides (CHHAs) to provide in-home care to residents of Mercer County.

Responsibilities

• Provide companion activities, homemaking, personal care, transport to appointments, and assistance with daily activities, such as grocery shopping.
• Exercise, activity and positioning, range of motion, transferring, ambulation and assistive devices.
• Nail and skin care, bathing, shampooing, etc., and positioning.
• Vital signs monitoring.
• Dementia and post-stroke care.
• Light house-keeping, laundry, and assistance with meal preparation.
• Transportation to appointments.
• Adequately adhere to patient plan of care.

Requirements

• NJ CHHA certification.
• Basic Life Support (CPR).
• Reliable vehicle.
• Able to pass criminal history and drug screening.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Two references of past employers or nursing program instructors (no family or friends).
• Able to constantly travel within the geographic area serviced by the office.

Qualifications

• Nursing students welcome and will be guided through the certification process.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow patient plans of care.
• Knowledge of home health care practices.
