Home Health Aide CHHA - Warren County

About the role

First in Home Care, Interim HealthCare is expanding into Mercer County and looking for Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aides (CHHAs) to provide in-home care to residents of Mercer County. Part-time, flexible hours available.

Responsibilities

CHHAs provide the following assistance:

• Companion activities and homemaking
• Personal care and transport to appointments
• Assistance with daily activities such as grocery shopping
• Exercise, activity, and positioning
• Range of motion, transferring, ambulation, and assistive devices
• Personal hygiene (nail and skin care, bathing, shampooing, etc.) and positioning
• Vital signs monitoring
• Post-stroke and dementia care
• Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
• Transportation to appointments
• Adherence to patient plan of care

Requirements

• NJ CHHA certification (guidance provided for certification process if needed)
• Reliable transportation and a reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass criminal history and drug screening
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Provide two references from past employers or nursing program instructors (no family or friends)
• Able to constantly travel within the geographic area serviced by the office from assignment to assignment

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
• Nursing students welcome
