About the role

Maximum Care, Inc. is seeking a Direct Care Worker to join their team in the Lehigh Valley. Established for over 40 years, they support the elderly, disabled, and participants with intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Care for seniors with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.
• Provide physical and emotional care to participants due to illness, injury, disability, etc.
• Offer home assistance such as light housekeeping, running errands, providing transportation, accompanying clients to appointments, assisting with reminders for medications, preparing meals, purchasing food, and providing personal assistance with general living needs.
• Perform personal services including toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
• Offer companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting individuals.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to complete a criminal background report.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time.
