Location: Linden Ponds by Erickson Senior Living, a 108-acre continuing care retirement community in Hingham, Massachusetts.
About the role
The Registered Nurse in Home Care provides nursing care according to established policies and procedures for a home care agency. The RN develops and supervises the implementation of a resident’s individualized service plan, observes the resident’s condition, and communicates with the Physician and family/responsible party as needed. The RN oversees the resident’s care delivered by the Home Support team of LPNs, Aides, and Home Care workers and companions.
Responsibilities
- Partner and collaborate in the initial evaluation to assess residents’ needs and develop a service plan in conjunction with the resident, family, physician, and/or authorized practitioner.
- Communicate any changes in the resident’s condition.
- Ensure the resident’s individualized plan is implemented and followed by the Home Support agency team.
- Deliver nursing care as outlined in the plan of care and according to acceptable nursing standards.
- Participate in care conferences and other resident-related meetings.
- Participate in the orientation and training of other agency nurses and training for Aide staff development activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience as an RN.
- Experience in caring for seniors and/or seniors with cognitive impairment preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, internet, and web applications.
- Experience with an electronic medical record is preferred.
- Must comply with specific state regulations and requirements, which take precedence over the outlined job description.

Pay
$41.00 hourly.
