Job Summary
Responsible for providing nursing care to patients in their homes.
Essential Functions
- Assessing patients' health status and developing individualized care plans.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the supervising registered nurse or physician.
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and reporting any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Aiding patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Providing wound care and dressing changes.
- Performing basic diagnostic tests such as blood pressure checks and glucose monitoring.
- Educating patients and their families on their medical conditions and self-care techniques.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study required.
- Licenses and Credentials: Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License, Licensed Practical Nurse [LPN - MASS - Required].
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Caregiving and compassionate demeanor.
- Reliable transportation to travel to patients' homes.
