Home Care Education RN

About the role

The Guardian Angel Senior Services is seeking an experienced Part-Time Home Care Education RN to lead the education and ongoing development of our Home Health Aides (HHAs), Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), Homemakers, and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Teaching Home Health Aide (HHA) certification classes and skills labs
• Providing ongoing in-service education and competency training
• Performing caregiver skills evaluations and annual competency assessments
• Cooking caregivers on best practices in home care
• Supervising caregivers in the field as needed
• Assisting with quality assurance and clinical compliance
• Maintaining education records and documentation
• Collaborating with clinical and recruiting teams to ensure caregiver success
• Promoting exceptional client care through education and mentorship

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Home care, home health, hospice, or community nursing experience preferred
• Experience teaching, precepting, mentoring, or training healthcare staff is highly desirable
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Excellent presentation and organizational abilities
• Comfortable demonstrating hands-on caregiving techniques
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to travel to training locations and client homes when necessary
