Home Bursar, Wolfson College Oxford
About the role
The Home Bursar leads the management and development of Wolfson College's distinctive college estates. Reporting to the Bursar and working closely with the President, Fellows, staff, and students, they play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient operations and an exceptional environment for the diverse academic community.
Responsibilities
Leading the planning and delivery of estate maintenance, refurbishment, and new-build projects.
Supporting the development and delivery of major capital projects.
Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation, including Fire Safety.
Driving the College's sustainability strategy and environmental initiatives.
Leading, developing, and inspiring the estates, grounds, housekeeping, accommodation, and Lodge teams.
Managing departmental budgets in partnership with the Bursar.
Requirements
Strategic vision and strong operational leadership.
Experience in managing large estates and teams.
Strong flexibility, tact, diplomacy, and effective communication skills.
Ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and sustainability practices.
Qualifications
Proven track record in estate management and leadership roles.
Experience in project management and budgeting.
Understanding of sustainability and environmental initiatives.
