Home and Community Direct Support Professional

About the role

Merakey is seeking PRN Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team at our program in McKeesport, PA. This is an opportunity for Caregivers, Direct Care Workers, Home Health aides, or those who have always wanted to be one. No experience is required—we provide paid training.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Individual Support Plan to help individuals achieve their goals
• Spend days in various settings, including parks and sensory gardens, working on social and communication skills
• Foster independence by teaching daily living activities such as personal care, housekeeping, and laundry
• Assist with daily and personal activities to enhance independence
• Encourage, mentor, and coach others to achieve their goals

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have own car

Pay

$18.50 per hour. Day shifts available.
