HME Patient Service Technician

About the role

The HME Patient Service Technician is a full-time position, based out of our main office located in Missoula, MT and may require travel to other counties within our service area.

Responsibilities

• Delivering, installing, and maintaining home medical equipment in patient homes and community settings.
• Setting up equipment, instructing patients and caregivers on safe operation.
• Performing routine checks and minor repairs.
• Documenting service activities accurately.
• Responding to service calls, troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Cooking with patients and caregivers, coordinating with clinical staff, and ensuring timely, courteous customer service.
• Safeguarding patient safety and comfort by maintaining equipment readiness, managing inventory, and adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.

Qualifications

• Strong Maintenance and Repair skills for home medical equipment and related devices.
• Effective Troubleshooting capabilities to diagnose and resolve equipment issues in the field.
• Experience in Field Service, including on-site visits, setup, and follow-up support.
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a patient-centered and professional approach.
• General Maintenance abilities for basic mechanical and technical tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for regular travel within the Greater Missoula Area.
• Ability to lift and move equipment safely, and work in patient homes and varied environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in home medical equipment, healthcare, or a related technical field preferred.
