HMA Batch Plant Operator - Jordanville, NY

About the role

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Batch Plant Operator for their Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) operation at the Jordanville Quarry location in Jordanville, NY.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily production schedules at the Hot Mix Asphalt plant.
• Operate plant equipment such as dump trucks and skid steers.
• Perform clerical work and other peripheral duties as required.
• Work at multiple locations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Basic computer skills
• Solid mechanical skills to perform general maintenance
• Ability to operate plant equipment
• General knowledge of hot mix asphalt business and operation
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Strong communication skills
• Willing to work overtime, Saturdays and night shift
• Ability to learn basic welding and torch operation

Qualifications

• Physical Requirements: sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, bending, lifting up to 75 lbs., working in confined spaces, capable of wearing respiratory and other personal protective equipment.
