HIV Health Educator

About the role

Inova 2740 Prosperity Ave is looking for a dedicated HIV Health Educator to join the team. This role will be Full-Time Days Monday-Friday. Inova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the development of grant applications.
• Participates in the planning and implementation of conferences.
• Designs and distributes program brochures within timeframes defined by policy.
• Creates curriculum modules for specific Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) prevention/care topics.
• Identifies gaps in services by developing contacts with local AIDS service organizations.
• Provides assistance with program/policy development to community based organizations and healthcare providers.
• Collects data, as required, by funding source 95 percent of the time and assisting with the preparation of reports/grants.
• Conducts needs assessments in community based organizations and healthcare facilities, as determined by grant requirements.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field (or relevant experience in lieu of degree equivalent to 8 years)
• Experience: 3 years of relevant experience
