Histotechnologist or Histotechnician (Overnight)

About the role

• Section paraffin and frozen tissue specimens as requested.
• Perform basic histology techniques (e.g., embed, microtomy, process tissue).
• Analyze and troubleshoot equipment-related issues.
• Maintain vital quality control and assurance records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field with knowledge of Biology and Chemistry.
• NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Technician, or Certified Histology Technician license preferred; eligibility to obtain NYS license required.

• Ability to perform dilutions and laboratory calculations.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM or 1:00 AM to 9:00 AM. 100% onsite at the Main Hospital Campus, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY.

10% differential for overnight schedule.

Pay

Pay range: $46.26 – $74.00 per hour. FLSA status: Non-Exempt.
