About the role
We are seeking a Histotechnologist or Histotechnician to join our evening shift on a full-time basis.
Schedule
5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, Monday – Friday with Saturday rotation.
Responsibilities
- Processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and labeling of surgical specimens.
- Performing high-complexity testing and special staining as assigned under the direction of appropriate personnel.
- Preparing reagents and dilutions for special stains and performing special stains, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence stains.
Requirements
Option 1 – Histotechnologist (HTL):
- Bachelor’s of Science degree and completion of a histotechnology program.
- Certification as a histotechnologist (HTL) by an appropriate accrediting agency (e.g., ASCP).
- Previous histology experience desired.
Option 2 – Histotechnician (HT):
- High school graduate with completion of an accredited histology program.
- Certification as a histotechnician (HT) by an appropriate accrediting agency (e.g., ASCP).
- Previous histology experience desired.
