Histotech (Evening Shift)

Responsibilities

• Perform tissue grossing, embedding, and microtomy (FFPE and frozen/OCT sectioning)
• Execute H&E and special stains according to established protocols
• Scan and digitize slides using whole slide imaging systems
• Troubleshoot histology workflows and perform routine equipment maintenance
• Perform quality control checks and maintain accurate documentation in the LIS

Requirements

• 2+ years of histology experience
• Strong microtomy and staining proficiency
• Experience working with animal and/or human tissue types
• Able to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment
• Flexibility to work weekends as needed based on lab workload

Qualifications

• New York State License and/or HT/HTL (ASCP) certification (preferred)
• Experience with whole slide imaging / digital pathology platforms (preferred)
• Experience in a research or CRO laboratory (preferred)
