About the role
The Histology Tech supports patient care by performing histology techniques crucial for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
Responsibilities
- Performs histology processing including embedding, microtomy, and manual/automated staining in accordance with standard operating procedures and accreditation requirements.
- Demonstrates organizational skills to complete work assignments within scheduled times.
Requirements
- Must have previous histology experience, microtomy, and embedding.
- Experience in IHC and special staining is preferred.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education.
- 1-2 years of previous job-related experience.
- Associate's Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education.
Skills
- Knowledge of histology techniques.
- Organizational skills.
Pay
Pay Range: $25.00 - 39.60 USD Hourly
Schedule
Shift: Evening
Monday - Friday 6:00pm-2:30am
