About the role
Saffron is expanding its transformative music technology education to under-18s with the launch of Saffron Routes, a 24-month project in Bristol and Gloucester. Backed by Youth Music’s Catalyser Fund, the programme aims to address music tech’s gender disparity by breaking down barriers for girls and gender minorities in music education settings. You’ll be instrumental in delivering outreach and holiday sessions in collaboration with youth partners Music Works and ACE Docklands, ensuring the programme is high-quality, inclusive, and impactful.
Responsibilities
- Manage delivery schedules for outreach and holiday sessions with partner schools and youth centres.
- Support freelance facilitators in delivering DJing, music production, and music tech sector workshops.
- Recruit and engage young participants (adolescent girls and gender minorities).
- Collect meaningful feedback to refine and improve the programme.
- Work closely with the Education Manager and freelance educators to create a supportive and inspiring experience for young people.
- Capture insights to shape the future of Saffron’s youth programmes.
Requirements
- Lived experience of being a marginalised gender within music/music technology (prioritised).
- Experience in project coordination, youth work, or music education (preferred but not essential).
- Commitment to inclusivity and breaking down barriers in music tech.
