About the role

Roto-Rooter is looking for a Hiring Manager to drive a successful recruiting strategy for our Portland branch located in Tualatin, OR. This role focuses on hiring and retaining employees by recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching first-year employees. You will also support sales growth, customer service, and productivity while minimizing turnover. Significant time will be spent in the field recruiting and working with technicians and sales representatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and mentor a team of sales and service professionals to provide quality services to customers.
• Recruit sales and service teams using active recruiting methods to meet monthly manpower goals.
• Increase revenue by developing existing business and cultivating new customers in residential and commercial markets.
• Follow up with customers from leads provided by field service technicians and handle customer issues.
• Develop additional business opportunities by selling preventative maintenance and priority care programs.
• Conduct work-site reviews to ensure safety measures are utilized.
• Monitor team performance weekly and identify areas where additional training is needed.
• Accompany service technicians to customer sites to observe performance and provide coaching on customer service, sales, and safety/OSHA requirements.
• Analyze sales metrics to ensure team members maximize opportunities and achieve individual sales goals.
• Manage talent acquisition data through an ATS portal, screen resumes, and interview candidates.
• Source and manage both active and passive candidates on Indeed, LinkedIn, and other job boards.
• Monitor new recruits, including periodic ride-alongs, to determine if additional training is needed.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license.
• Proven experience as a hiring manager with a track record of recruiting and developing sales and service professionals.
• Self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Service industry experience is strongly desired.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience sourcing and maintaining a pipeline of candidates.
• Strong knowledge of advanced recruiting platforms and techniques, including social media.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $90,000–$100,000, depending on experience, with opportunities for branch performance-based bonuses.
