About the role
CIEE is seeking an Events Coordinator, Internship Placements to join our dynamic team. This position reports to the Senior Director, Internship Placements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate candidate interviews for virtual and in-person hiring events.
- Manage candidate rosters in Excel and create reports for each event.
- Aid in the planning, scheduling, and execution of hiring events and recruitment initiatives.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for host organizations regarding interview scheduling, event logistics, and recruitment timelines.
- Perform initial participant interviews, as needed.
- Communicate interview outcomes and next steps to participants in a timely and professional manner.
- Collect, track, and report visa appointment updates and outcomes, providing regular status updates to host organizations.
- Maintain and update the CIEE Beacon hiring event grid, tracking interview activity, host selections, and placement outcomes.
- Support training plan processes, including kickoff coordination, cloning, workflow management, participant reminders, and pipeline tracking.
- Communicate regularly with international agency partners regarding candidate status, event participation, placement updates, and program requirements.
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping and data management across recruitment and placement systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline hiring event operations and improve participant and host experiences.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills with the ability to effectively coordinate a large variety of activities.
- Professionalism both internally and externally to CIEE and commitment to company values and stated goals.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills adaptable to all types of audiences, including participants, industry partners, international representatives, senior leaders, etc.
- The ability to work through and resolve a wide range of issues and be an exemplary ambassador of CIEE and its mission and programs.
- An ability to function well in a complex institutional framework, have a high tolerance for ambiguity and flexibility, and be able to respond quickly and appropriately to changing circumstances.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience in event coordination and management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of international student exchange programs and visa processes.
- Experience with recruitment software and databases.
