Requirements

• MUST HAVE FPS EXPERIENCE TO ATTEND!
• 2 Years Of Armed FPS-PSO Experience REQUIRED OR Military (with Honorable Discharge) Or Police Background Experience REQUIRED
• Must be 21 & over

Skills

• Valid Driver's License
• Armed Protective Security Officer - FPS
• Access control, employee and visitor identification checks
• Security equipment monitoring
• Roving patrols of the interior and exterior of federal property
• Surveillance camera monitoring
• Use of magnetometer and X-ray machines
• Clear and concise communication using provided communication devices
• Emergency response and evaluation procedures
• Performing CPR or first aid when needed
• Maintain credentials per contract requirements
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Project Manager

Minimum Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• United States citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident with an honorable discharge from the US Armed Forces
• Two (2) years of armed security experience or one (1) year of law enforcement experience in a full-duty status
• Fluently speak, read, and comprehend English
• Able to qualify with a revolver or semi-automatic firearm
• Strong relevant knowledge of the security industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Customer service-driven mindset
• Effective communication and presentation skills

Education Requirements

• CPR/American Red Cross Certification
• High School Diploma/GED Certification
• MD Armed Guard Card
• Baton M.E.B. Training
• All Required PSO Training and Certs
• O.C. aerosol spray CPR/American Red Cross Certification
• 16 Hour X-Ray and Magnetometer Basic Training Exhibits 72/64 hours Firearms Qualification
• Initials Weapon Training
• DHS Letter of Suitability
• FPS Orientation Certificate
• DHS Suitability
