Amergis Healthcare Staffing is hiring passionate Special Education Teachers for multiple full-time school-based openings for the 2026–2027 school year in South Gate, Huntington Park, and East Los Angeles, CA.

- Resource Specialist Program (RSP)
- Special Day Class (SDC)
- Mild/Moderate Support Needs

Position highlights include a full-time, school-based schedule for the 2026–2027 academic year, multiple openings across programs and grade levels, and support from a dedicated Amergis recruiter.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Track progress and maintain compliance documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies for diverse needs
- Apply evidence-based teaching and behavior management practices
Requirements
- Valid California Education Specialist Teaching Credential
- Experience in RSP, SDC, Mild/Moderate, or ESN settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and special education compliance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to support diverse learners in inclusive environments
