About the role
As a “Health Information Management Tech” you will:
- In collaboration with others, monitor and audit EHR documentation.
- Review records as scheduled or on an ad hoc basis to establish completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of documentation.
- As directed, perform audit of metadata to detect potential privacy breaches related to EHR access.
- Select appropriate or defined sample size to support audit validity.
- In collaboration with others, monitor and review MPI duplicate reports to ensure timely processing and correction.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED and experience in Medical Office, Medical Records or other applicable health care experience.
- Strong knowledge of Medical Record concepts including record completion requirements, chart tracking, and release of information procedures.
- Knowledge of data analysis concepts.
- Experience with computer skills to include Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook.
