HIM Technician
About the role
You will collaborate with others to monitor and audit EHR documentation. You will review records as scheduled or on an ad hoc basis to establish completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of documentation. You will perform audits of metadata to detect potential privacy breaches related to EHR access. You will select appropriate or defined sample sizes to support audit validity. You will also monitor and review MPI duplicate reports to ensure timely processing and correction.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in Medical Office, Medical Records, or other applicable healthcare experience
- Strong knowledge of Medical Record concepts including record completion requirements, chart tracking, and release of information procedures
- Knowledge of data analysis concepts
- Experience with computer skills including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook
Qualifications

Pay
Position highlights and benefits include comprehensive benefit packages, flexible schedules, and free onsite parking. The position is FT/PT benefit eligible with options ranging from 0.4 FTE (16 hours weekly) to 1.0 FTE (40 hours weekly).
