HIM Technician
About the role
You will collaborate with others to monitor and audit EHR documentation. Reviews records as scheduled or on an as-needed basis to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of documentation. Performs audit of metadata to detect potential privacy breaches related to EHR access. Selects appropriate or defined sample sizes to support audit validity. Monitors and reviews MPI duplicate reports to ensure timely processing and correction.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in Medical Office, Medical Records, or other applicable healthcare experience
- Strong knowledge of Medical Record concepts including record completion requirements, chart tracking, and release of information procedures
- Knowledge of data analysis concepts
- Experience with computer skills including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook
Qualifications

Pay
Position is eligible for FT/PT benefits. Available positions range from 0.4 FTE (16 hours weekly) to 1.0 FTE (40 hours weekly).
