HIM Tech II-Medical Records

About the role

The HIM Tech II is a critical guardian of patient data responsible for the seamless conversion of physical documentation into our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This role will ensure that every piece of patient information is digitized with 100% accuracy, making it immediately accessible to clinicians for life-saving decision-making, while maintaining the highest standards of data security and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Seamlessly convert physical documentation into our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• Maintain 100% accuracy in digitizing patient information
• Ensure immediate accessibility of patient information to clinicians
• Maintain the highest standards of data security and HIPAA compliance

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year experience in a hospital medical record or healthcare related setting
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology
• Intermediate computer literacy skills
• Mathematical understanding of statistics
• Additional experience in quality analyses, electronic medical record processing, and customer service is beneficial

Physical Working Conditions

• Works in a clean, well-lighted, air-conditioned environment
• Occasionally required to visit employer sites with extremes in heat or cold
• May be required to sit for extended periods and/or walk distances throughout the facility numerous times per shift

Pay

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
