About the Role

The Outpatient Medical Record Technician, under limited supervision, interacts with physicians, physician office staff, patients, families, and visitors while performing department clerical duties. These duties include sorting, filing, and photocopying medical records in accordance with established patient consent policies.

The Medical Record Technician adheres to the principles, philosophy, and mission of Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center in all aspects of job performance.

Responsibilities

• Sort, file, and photocopy medical records following established patient consent policies.
• Interact with physicians, physician office staff, patients, families, and visitors.
• Perform other department clerical duties as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, Disease Pathology, Anatomy & Physiology recommended.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to use designated reference materials.
