About the role
The HIM Documentation Integrity Analyst I evaluates patient records upon discharge for inclusion, accuracy, and completeness of required documentation as defined by The Joint Commission, state, and federal regulations. Assigns chart deficiencies based on CCMC Medical Staff Rules and Regulations. Communicates with HIM Records Management, HIM Transcription and HIM Quality Compliance staff to report missing and incorrect document issues.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Health Information Management or High School Diploma (or equivalent) with two (2) years of hospital‑centered office experience
- Broad knowledge of medical terminology, record management concepts, data integrity of patient‑related information, and HIM office applications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Detail‑oriented, analytical, with strong organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and solve problems using job knowledge and current policies and procedures
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Experience with analysis preferred
