About the Role

Move merchandise throughout the warehouse from receiving to a customer’s car door. Operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also perform Order Filler and Checker duties.

Responsibilities

• Complete required paperwork necessary to support warehouse functions, including tagging or marking orders as requested.
• Move product from staging or storage areas into trucks or trailers, and slot product as necessary while completing supporting paperwork.
• Count all inbound product, compare to the manifest, and check for damage, infestation, and production dates; report shortages, overages, or damage to the appropriate manager.
• Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and consignee address to customer orders to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct.
• Safely and efficiently operate machinery and equipment, and assist in loading or unloading product moving into or out of the warehouse.
• Participate in physical inventories as required.
• Maintain clean, neat, and orderly work areas while operating in a manner that promotes safety.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED equivalent.
• One year of experience in a related area of responsibility (e.g., service, production, or support role).
• Experience leveraging technology to perform daily tasks, including familiarity with MS Office applications, web navigation, and basic hardware functions.
• Strong oral and written communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to quickly build rapport with internal teammates and business units.
• Proven track record of taking initiative to accomplish tasks creatively with a sense of urgency and assertiveness.

Physical Demands

• Consistently sit, talk, and hear throughout the day.
• Climb, crouch, or crawl when necessary.
• Operate equipment using hands and fingers, and manually carry or move merchandise.
• Drive or ride in a motor vehicle.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
