Highway Safety Outreach Coordinator (Traffic Technician Series - Non-Safety Sensitive)
Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary point of contact for the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety – Central Region.
- Schedules meetings and communicates with internal and external partners, both requesting and providing information related to the Coalition.
- Works with Communications Staff to generate, edit, and publish website and social media content, brochures, handouts, and other public relations material for the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety – Central Region.
- Processes Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety – Central Region grant applications and grant contracts; notifies grant recipients; monitors projects for compliance with grant requirements.
- Attends public or community events to share and promote information related to the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety activities, and initiatives.
- Develops and monitors budget for assigned areas; identifies, obtains and maintains inventories for items to promote the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety objectives.
- Prepares accident diagrams that include types and locations of accidents and dates, times, and weather conditions.
- Downloads, transfers, or inputs collected traffic data into computer database or traffic software programs.
- Maintains traffic related databases and spreadsheets and generates reports; maintains traffic devices inventories and records.
- Operates radio, digital camera, video equipment, and other electronic equipment for the collection of traffic data.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED/HiSET
