Highway Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage interdisciplinary projects
• Prepare contract documents, including Plans, Specifications, and Cost Estimates
• Monitor budgets and schedules
• Aid in proposal preparation for professional services
• Design highways and roadways, including horizontal and vertical alignments
• Develop maintenance and protection of traffic schemes
• Coordinate right of way and drainage design
• Plan traffic signals and electrical/lighting systems
• Use MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer
• Communicate effectively with client management, engineers, and marketing teams

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• NJ Professional Engineer license
• 5+ years’ experience in highway design
• Proficiency with NJDOT, NJTA, AASHTO, and MUTCD design standards and procedures
• Experience in highway design to include maintenance and protection of traffic schemes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with MS Office software
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record
