Highway Maintenance Worker - Two Harbors

Salary: $24.35-$32.88 hourly. This position is open until filled.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• 1-year equipment operation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possession of a valid Class B Commercial Driver's license without airbrake or automatic transmission restrictions.
• Proof of possession of a Class A Commercial Driver's license with a tank vehicle endorsement and without any of the following restrictions by completion of probation: air brakes, manual transmission, or tractor-trailer. Failure to obtain the appropriate Class A license by completion of probation will result in termination from the position.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and perform skilled and semi-skilled manual labor to maintain and repair County highways, bridges, and other properties.
• Operate and repair on-road and off-road equipment.
• Perform manual labor under all types of weather conditions.

Requirements

• Successfully complete probationary period per contract.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Pass a drug test.
• Meet essential physical requirements of the position.
• Complete and sign employment eligibility verification form on the first day of employment. Documentation verifying identity and employment eligibility must be submitted within three days of the first day of employment.
