Responsibilities
- Preparing highway and roadway designs for WisDOT urban and rural projects, including interchanges, corridors, and major reconstruction efforts.
- Developing detailed plans, specifications, quantities, cost estimates, and design documentation for state highway projects.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and project managers to deliver complex highway design solutions.
- Participating in quality control reviews and assist with project coordination throughout all design phases.
- Provide mentorship to junior staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Transportation focus preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin.
- 4–8 years of roadway/highway design experience, including WisDOT projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with Bentley OpenRoads a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- In-depth knowledge of WisDOT design standards, state highway specifications, and federal roadway guidelines.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $108,000.00 to $125,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
