High School Teacher FT - CTE /Work Based Learning Coordinator
About the role
We are seeking a proactive and community-minded educator to lead our Work-Based Learning program. This individual will not only teach essential career readiness skills and courses but will also serve as the primary liaison between our students, industry partners, and post-secondary institutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students navigate their unique paths—whether that leads to a trade school, a four-year university, or a direct career entry.
Requirements
- Utah Secondary Educator License with appropriate CTE or Work-Based Learning endorsement.
- Professional Educator License awarded by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) or eligibility for an Associate Educator License (AEL) to apply to Jordan School District and participate in the Alternate Pathway to Professional Educator Licensing (APPEL) Program.
- Proof of an AEL required before being added to the candidate pool; proof of enrollment in a teacher certification program at a local university accepted in lieu of an AEL.

Retirement
Benefit eligible employees are automatically members of the Utah Retirement Systems (URS). The District contributes into the URS plan on your behalf each month. After the URS vesting period of four years, you will have either the Hybrid option, which is a combination of a pension with a 401k plan, or the 401k option if you choose. Both plans are employer-paid. You can also choose to enhance your retirement with URS by contributing additional money from your paychecks into a 401k, 457, Traditional IRA, or Roth IRA.
