High School Spring Musical - Music Assistant

About the Role

This position reports to the Superintendent, Principal, and/or Supervisor of Fine & Performing Arts. The Music Assistant works in conjunction with the Spring Musical Director to oversee all music aspects of the production.

Responsibilities

• Audition accompanist
• Rehearsal accompanist
• Instruction and reinforcement of vocal technique, diction, dialect, etc.
• Scheduling music-specific rehearsals
• Assisting the Spring Musical Director in all music aspects as needed/requested
• Pit conductor and/or musician
• Assigning pit orchestra parts
• Working with the Spring Musical Director to hire pit orchestra musicians

Applicants should demonstrate strong piano proficiency skills.
