High School Special Education Teacher
Job Description
The successful candidate will teach high school special education students in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, collaborating with other educators and support staff, and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Plan and deliver lessons that meet the diverse needs of special education students.
- Absorb and implement new teaching methodologies and strategies.
- Assess student progress through various assessments and provide feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and families to develop and implement IEPs.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications
To be considered, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in special education, a valid teaching license, and at least two years of teaching experience in special education. A master’s degree in special education is preferred.
