Milton Town School District is seeking a dynamic Long-Term Substitute Spanish teacher to cover an indefinite medical leave. The position starts immediately and is full-time.

About the role

The candidate will be fluent in Spanish and should have experience teaching high school Spanish, including as a student teacher. Knowledge of effective student engagement in the classroom is essential. Preference will be given to candidates certified to teach Spanish in grades 9-12.

Responsibilities

  • Teach high school Spanish courses as a long-term substitute.
  • Engage students effectively in the classroom.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Spanish World Language License for grades 9-12, equivalent professional endorsements, or ability to be recommended for emergency licensure based on educational experience.
  • High school teaching experience or equivalence.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
